Merry Christmas with always christmas

All of my gigs went quite well this year...
one more to go on Dec. 28th!

Thank you for all your support this year. I'm really pleased to advise that I've uploaded my first Christmas song, "always christmas", here.
Please listen :) and download for FREE.

"always christmas" is the title and it was written during the hottest month in Tokyo in August. I really needed a break then but didn't have the luxury so ended up writing about "holidays" and being with "you". Here, "you" can mean family, lovers, and any one who is significant to you.

Allow me to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a spectacular new year 2012!

Blessings to u, krystalcube

krystalcube "unplugged" live recording!

Long time no hear....yes....concentrating on gigs in Tokyo, only to be followed by the earthquake and aftershocks!

Thanks to your prayers and warm thoughts, I am doing okay still singing and doing music to my heart's desire.

I am pleased to advise that a live recording from a charity event held on April 16, 2011 in Roppongi's Brave Bar is available for view. All you have to do is to click the following view krystalcube or paste this url to your browser: http://goo.gl/2EkyS.

This gig was broadcasted worldwide for the benefit of those victims from the Tohoku Kanto earthquake in March 2011 in Japan. krystalcube performed five original songs with her pal guitar, Caramel.

Three songs are sung in English and two in Japanese. Sorry, the MC is in Japanese to cater to those in the affected areas. In the interval, I am sharing my learnings from a Buddhist teaching of how a smile (just like a gift money, only something you can do for free) brings happiness to all. I must say I was not in my best condition but hope my thoughts reach you.

Song titles: Banana Bread, unconditional Love, You Must Believe in Spring, Kiseki (means miracle), Connecting to You

Long time no see?

Hi there,

krystalcube back again after almost half a year. Apologies for being silent as
so much has been going on in my life - updating two blogs is quite a task.
I'll attempt to do this from now on.

Now, just to recant... I've done more than 3 gigs per month over the past six
months and I've started to write more music. I really haven't had much chance
to travel for pleasure and Japan's prime minister has meanwhile changed and
the Yen continues to be stronger against USD and other major currencies.

It is sweltering hot in Tokyo over 100 degrees F. and humid.

Yet, I'm happy to say that I am grateful to be able to continue to do my music.

Blessings to you, krystalcube

More gigs!

Hello..real cold in Tokyo here.
It snowed many times this week.

The Jan. 29 gig went better than expected.
I ended up competing with artists who already have major released songs & albums and those that perform over 200 days a year. Six groups were in the competition and I ended up 3rd. No prize but it appears I've done quite well for now.

On a snowy evening on Feb. 3, I did my next little gig at a cozy little bar in Roppongi. Roppongi is one of Tokyo's prominent entertainment district with lots of clubs, bars, restaurants operating around the clock. You can also find many non Japanese visiting here and is quite cosmopolitan.

The start of 2010 has been better than expected and I am looking to have more fun.

Blessings to you all, krystalcube

So 2010 is really HERE!

HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Wishing the very best of everything,

Didn't realize that I haven't updated for so long... apologies

Just a short update of what krystalcube has been doing
since the last posting:

Dec. - did 5 gigs in one month...bit challenging but all went well
3 were new venues, mostly small but enjoyable; met with new
artists, found new types of music

"new things"

1) I'm into singing standard numbers now and my
current favorite is "When You Wish Upon a Star" - have
done it twice in Dec. one with the piano, a jazzy version and
the other , Linda Ronstadt's version.

2) musical songs - I wanted to sing something real exciting
so picked up this lively number, "I Could Have Danced All
Night" from "My Fair Lady"... audience seemed to like the
musical touch

Well, that's all for now and I'll keep you posted ...
